About the production company and our mission
As a Brazilian audiovisual production company that develops high-quality projects aimed at building new imaginaries, our main mission is to tell bright and inspiring stories through original projects and co-productions.
We want to talk about what we wish we had seen throughout our lives — narratives that deeply connect with audiences and bring forward subjectivities that go beyond skin color, celebrating the richness within the diversity of Brazilian culture.

Goals and trajectory
We encourage the entry of new talent into the industry, working alongside highly experienced professionals, strengthening the film industry through diverse perspectives. Our first original project, the series “Toda Família Tem”, is a co-production with Amazon Studios that portrays humorous situations from a typically Brazilian family, the Silva family.
In 2025, we began filming the feature film “Tá Pago!”, directed by Cris D’Amato and co-produced by Riofilme. Black Pen was founded by actor and producer Jonathan Haagensen, who rose to prominence in the film City of God, in partnership with journalist and screenwriter Mariana Veil. We are committed to narratives that matter, move, and transform.
